Picnic Table w/Sassitude

Happy Long Weekend Everyone! Sorry I haven’t done a blog post in a bit. It has been a busy week. Tomorrow is Memorial Day and I came across this post from Martha Stewart. I love how easily a coat of paint transformed this picnic table! It has so much Sassitude and is ready for a wonderful celebration! It also got me thinking about the fact that you could paint picnic tables any color and really transform a backyard or patio for the summer!

Hope everyone is enjoying a weekend filled with Sassitude!

Tory Burch Flip Flops w/Sassitude

Tis flip flop season and I am loving these Tory Burch ones! They have so much Sassitude! I am not a fan of plain flip flops as they dress down outfits too much for my taste. These strike the perfect balance in my opinion. Here are a few of my faves.

Brookstone Dash Luggage w/Sassitude

I passed by a Brookstone the other day and saw this luggage displayed in their window. These belong to their Dash series and are 17 inches. They fit under most overhead compartments and have so much Sassitude! These would be perfect for a quick trip and are stylish to boot. I love how sleek and shiny they are. My favorite is the pink one!

I am loving this Antonio Berardi dress on Ashley Greene! It has just the right amount of Sassitude! This dress has a day meets night thing going on. I love that the cream colored part of the dress has a business attire feel to it and then you have the black lace peeking out which gives it Sassitude. This dress is sexy and classy at the same time – love it!

DWTS w/Sassitude & Swagger

I loved this Paso! Derek outdid himself again with the choreography and they both danced it beautifully. I was sure a 50’s Paso was just asking for a hot mess, but they proved me wrong.

Quote w/Sassitude

If you look at what you have in life,
You'll always have more.
If you look at what you don't have in life,
You'll never have enough.

Cinco de Mayo w/Sassitude

Happy Cinco de Mayo everyone! Hope your day is filled with fun, friends and Sassitude! I thought this floral arrangement from Martha Stewart captured the vibrancy of Cinco de Mayo perfectly! Here are her instructions on how to make it yourself:

Teeming with an assortment of brightly hued blooms, this lush and festive arrangement makes an ideal centerpiece for a Mexican-style fiesta. Although most of the flowers Martha uses -- zinnias, salvias, dahlias, and China asters -- originated north of the border, their dramatic, almost-explosive colors are sure to make your guests feel as if they're dining on the beaches of Cancun or at the Mazatlan carnival.

Making a Mexican Fiesta Flower Arrangement
Vase or container
Flower frog
Cut-flower food
Assorted zinnias, such as Z. elegans 'Radiant Orange,' 'Radiant Purple,' 'Lilac,' 'Radiant White,' and Z. haageana 'Persian Carpet'
Assorted dahlias, such as D. 'Thomas Jefferson,' 'Fern Irene,' and 'Sunny Yellow'
Assorted China asters, such as Callistephus chinensis 'Matsumoto'
Assorted salvias, such as S. farinacea 'Victoria'
Sharp knife or bypass pruners

1. Fill the vase or container with fresh, room-temperature water, and add the flower frog and the cut-flower food. Making sure to handle the flowers with care, hold each stem up next to the vase to gauge how much you'll need to trim. Using a sharp knife or bypass pruners, cut stems at a 45-degree angle, then remove any leaves that will fall below the waterline.

2. Arrange the flowers, adding each to the arrangement, stem by stem. Recondition the blooms every 2 to 3 days: Recut the stems, change the water, and add cut-flower food. Keep in a cool spot, away from direct sunlight.
