American Idol w/Sassitude

Last night my favorite performance was Crystal's rendition of Midnight Train to Georgia. I thought it had Sassitude because we saw a new side of Crystal that was equally as awesome as what we've seen from her before. She clearly knows how to deliver! I thought her vocals were pretty and she looked pretty too. I loved that she tried a look that was a bit more girly - stiletto's and all!

DWTS w/Sassitude & Swagger

Last night the contestants did either the Jive or the Foxtrot. I chose Jake and Chelsie’s Jive danced to Hip to be Square, as my favorite. I thought this performance had a lot of Sassitude and Swagger! I loved how Jake embraced the character and seemed to have a lot of fun with it. I thought his intro with the microphone was really cool (that was a risk as it could have gone very wrong on live tv).

Mannequin w/Sassitude

Last week during one of my walks in the city I passed The Fashion Institute of Technology and came across this really cool display of mannequins. They all had so much Sassitude! The display is called Pop Up Shop, The Mannequinn Speaks The Brand. I am going to post my three favorite ones this week starting with this one that used Bicycle Playing Cards. This was done by students Marisa Politi and Louie Sanders.

Lilly Pulitzer Animal Crackers w/Sassitude

The other day when I was in the grocery store I came across Barnum’s Animals, Lilly Pulitzer edition animal crackers. The packaging has so much Sassitude! If I were hosting a bridal or baby shower anytime soon I would so be stocking up on these.

I want to mention that Barnum’s Animals is supporting WWF with a donation of $100,000. And being that 2010 is the Year of the Tiger we get this beautiful edition of Lilly animal crackers!

Wishing everyone a weekend filled with Sassitude!

Herve Chapelier w/Sassitude

I love Herve Chapelier bags. I have two of them and they are so handy. I can cram so much stuff into them. What I also love about them is that the color combinations have so much Sassitude. You would never think to put a lot of the colors they put together but they always seem to work on their bags. I wanted to see what their summer colors were and this one is my fave.

American Idol w/Swagger

A lot of people are probably going to think I’m nuts with my decision this week. But I have to go with the performance that most entertained me. And that was Tim Urban’s rendition of Crazy Little Thing Called Love. I thought he had a lot of swagger during this performance despite what the judges said. I loved his interaction with the audience. I also loved the slide he did across the stage. He was a lot of fun to watch and was actually one of the few people last night that actually sang in key!

DWTS w/Sassitude and Swagger

I love Dancing with the Stars and am so excited that it is back in my life. This show has so much Sassitude for obvious reasons. Last night was the season premiere and I have to give it up for all of the contestants. Let’s face it – it takes a lot of Sassitude and Swagger to get up there and dance on live television.

The performance I thought had the most Sassitude and Swagger last night was Niecy’s and Louis’s. They danced a Cha Cha to Rescue Me and I thought it was so much fun. I loved that she and Louis were singing along to the song and seemed to just be in the moment. They sold it and I was very entertained!

Lolita Martini Glass w/Sassitude

I love martinis. I also love Lolita martini glasses. Every single one of them has so much Sassitude! Martinis are a drink that can be both sophisticated or fun and flirty. If you want to serve the latter kind, these glasses are perfect. This “My Tiara Martini” is one of their newer ones and I love it. Once I get my collection going I’m thinking it will be so much fun to have my girlfriends over for martinis. Everyone can pick their own unique glass with Sassitude!

Vera Bradley w/Sassitude

I love Vera Bradley. I think her bags have a timeless Sassitude! My new favorite pattern of hers is Poppy Fields. It just oozes spring to me. And now that the weather is getting lovelier I was thinking it would be nice to add a new lovely Vera travel bag for weekend trips!

Wishing everyone a weekend filled with Sassitude!

SONY VAIO Laptop w/Sassitude

I know this is my second post about a laptop this week. I might be in the market for a new laptop in the near future so I’ve been browsing. I think this SONY VAIO, Brilliant Pink CW has Sassitude! It is a part of their Signature Spring 2010 collection, and I think it is adorable. I love the color but more so, I love the floral pattern on it. I think this would get me motivated to write everyday while putting a smile on my face.

American Idol w/Sassitude

So last night on Idol everyone had to cover the Stones. It wasn’t the ultimate train wreck I thought it would be but it also wasn’t as entertaining as it should have been. However there was one performance that stood out for me that had Sassitude. That honor this week went to Siobhan Magnus. She sang “Paint it Black.” This is the second time she has been my pick. To be honest it wasn’t a perfect vocal but it fully entertained me. I loved how it was all very dramatic and theatrical! At least she put on a show and I appreciated that!

Individual Cupcake Stands w/Sassitude

I think it’s pretty apparent I love cupcakes. I also love all of Rosanna Bowles’ dishes she designs. They all have so much Sassitude! So combining my love of cupcakes and her dishes I present to you her individual cupcake stands! I have never seen individual cupcake stands before. These would be so cute for a small gathering or even if you are just treating yourself. I love celebrating little accomplishments with cupcakes so I’m thinking it would be nice to treat myself with a cupcake on my very own individual cupcake stand!

Vivienne Tam HP Netbook w/Sassitude

I simply love this “Butterfly Lovers” Digital Clutch by HP. It is designed by Vivienne Tam whom they have partnered with for the second time. The butterfly design gives this netbook major Sassitude! She managed to give this a sophisticated and whimsical look at the same time. I am one of those people that love cute and stylish office supplies. They actually get me more excited to get working. I also love that they call this netbook a digital clutch because it is simply that fashionable!

"To me, butterflies symbolize LOVE, FREEDOM,
INDEPENDENCE and TRANSFORMATION.
Together we bring life, color and personality to the
computer world, creating fashionable technology for
modern women."

Oscars 2010 - Sandra Bullock in Marchesa w/Sassitude

1. Sandra Bullock in Marchesa

This picture doesn’t do this dress justice. Actually when I first saw her in it on tv I thought the bottom was a really shiny satin – which I was not a fan of. When I saw it later, it didn’t look like satin anymore. I love the fit of this dress on her. She too looked really comfortable in her dress. What gives this dress Sassitude of course is the beautiful and intricate beading and the nudeness underneath it. I also love how the beading didn’t cut her waist off in a straight line. Congrats to Sandra on her win and looking stunning while doing it!

Wishing everyone a weekend filled with Sassitude!

Oscars 2010 - Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab w/Sassitude

2. Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab

This dress might not have popped for everyone but I simply love it! And this year since the Oscars were in March I felt that it had a very “spring is right around the corner” feel. What gives this dress Sassitude is the print. It looks like she is wearing a gorgeous watercolor painting! I also love the fit and the neckline. She looks so comfortable and gorgeous at the same time!

Oscars 2010 - Elizabeth Banks in Versace w/Sassitude

3. Elizabeth Banks in Versace

I love this Versace gown and Elizabeth Banks looks gorgeous in it! While the lavender-gray color gives the dress an airy feel, the structure and ruffles add Sassitude! It’s almost like it was two separate gowns that somehow managed to co-exist perfectly. The top is very strong and fitted and then you have the ruffles that seem to flow so naturally from the bodice. Love it!

Oscars 2010 - Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta w/Sassitude

4. Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta

I love this Oscar de la Renta dress! Normally Cameron wears something a bit more daring and fashion forward. This time she went with something safe (for her) but in a very, very good way. She just oozed glamorous movie star to me. While this is a pretty standard silhouette, the sequined embellishments give this dress Sassitude! I also love how the embellishments decrease gradually down the dress.

Oscars 2010 - Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab Couture w/Sassitude

I love the Oscars but at the same time it’s a bittersweet event for me because it means the end of awards season. With that said, I have picked my five favorite Oscar gowns. To be honest I felt that there wasn’t an abundance of fabulous gowns to choose from this time. But I did manage to find five that I did love so here goes…

5. Anna Kendrick in Elie Saab Couture

I thought Anna looked very soft and pretty in this blush pink dress. To me there are a few things that give this dress Sassitude! I love the off-shoulder neckline and the flower there as well. To counter the overall dainty-ness of the dress you have the slit with the lace peeking through. If you break this dress apart it seems to have a lot of elements but together they really worked for me!

Anthropologie Flamenco Shower Curtain w/Sassitude

Anthropologie is a store that I can never get enough of. Everything there is so unique but at the same time timeless. There are a lot of items I am currently coveting from there. One of them is the above shower curtain. I have actually been keeping my eye on this for almost two years I think! I actually just wanted to see if they were still selling it – and they are : )

As I have mentioned before I love any color in the turquoise/teal family. To me what gives this shower curtain Sassitude are the ruffles and the way they start with white and gradually become a light green and then flow into turquoise/teal. It also reminds me of my trip to Spain many, many years ago. I would love to one day coordinate this shower curtain with a few items I brought back from that trip.

Wishing everyone a weekend filled with Sassitude!

American Idol w/Sassitude

I thought a handful of the girls did a really good job last night. I felt there were four performances that had Sassitude. But the one I chose as my favorite was Michelle Delamor’s rendition of Creed’s “Arms Wide Open.” I loved that she changed it up enough to fit her yet not to the point where it was unrecognizable. I thought her vocals were terrific until she got to the end – but I’m letting that go. I honestly feel she could record this song and have a hit with it. I’d like to think this is what the judges mean by taking a song and making it current. I thought she did a great job with giving that song Sassitude!

American Idol w/Swagger

Unexpectedly, the guys took to the stage yesterday. I have to admit that all of them had Swagger last night because they had to get up there and perform last night when they thought they had an extra day. Going with the flow and rising up to occasions truly says you have Sassitude and Swagger!

With that said, I did pick the guy that I felt had the most Swagger last night. That distinction goes to Alex Lambert. What a difference a week makes! He just seemed like a new person last night. I love that he chose John Legend’s “Everyone Knows.” I thought it was a good song for him and a very good even performance. And like the judges I do think he has a great tone to his voice. Plus it’s so great to see someone that is so nervous to get up on stage actually get up on stage!

Sweet n' Salty Honey Nut Chex Mix w/Sassitude

Over the weekend I tried the Sweet n’ Salty Honey Nut Chex Mix. I never knew this flavor existed. Verdict – loved it. For me, what gives this Sassitude is that they blended the sweet and salty flavors so well. I also love that you can taste the honey in there. So because I was under the impression there was only the original flavor of Chex Mix, I decided to go on their website. They have 13 flavors of Chex Mix!!!! They all sound so delicious - Sour Cream & Onion, Hot & Spicy, Dark Chocolate, etc. I want to eventually try them all. I think they would be great to serve at a party in cute bowls.

My Piggy Bank w/Sassitude

I wanted to share my piggy bank I purchased from where else but – Target! I think it has so much Sassitude! I wanted something that looked cute and adorable since it would be on display. I love the deep lavender color and the hand painted flowers on it. It reminds me of spring which can never be a bad thing. And saving money even if it is only a penny a day can only add Sassitude to your life! I can’t wait to see how much I will have once it is all filled up!

Wishing everyone a March filled with Sassitude!
